FREE FOR ALL! One Dude’s Quest to Save Our Elections (HD)

 SYNOPSIS

In FREE FOR ALL!, John Wellington Ennis uncovers electoral malfeasance during the 2004 Presidential Election.  Ennis—a disillusioned American with a camera, sense of humor and faded ideals—explores voter suppression in the U.S. since the 2000 Election, when tens of thousands of black voters were disenfranchised in Florida. Ennis noticed the pattern again in the 2004 Election, so he grabbed his camera and went on a mission to the swing state of Ohio looking for answers.  Along the way, he interviews a number of authors, scholars, journalists, and elected leaders from across the political spectrum.

Ennis learns that the game at play in Ohio and across the country is not to win the most votes, but to stop the most voters. So he applies what he has learned and gets involved, creating Video The Vote.  This film uncovers evidence of a variety of schemes to swing our elections—voter caging, intimidation, misinformation, biased officials, voter I.D. laws, unreliable voting machines, legislated voter suppression, polling place confusion, and more.

Free For All! is one dude’s quest for democracy with BBC investigative journalist and best-selling author Greg Palast.  The film is produced by Holly Mosher (“Side Effects”) and executive produced by by Richard Ray Perez (co-director of “Unprecedented”).
